But he did rather well in 2nd half and add time.
Do you still remember his 3 point at last?Yeah, that's him.
He do has his own advantage,we should realise that he have make a big
progress this season,haven't he?
Many Laker do have realize the fans Ariza he not looking as good
tonight but for the rest of the season he do good progress, so take
that as ass pain!
(Just trying to learn the latest lingo.)
I agree with you, and I think most laker fans want Trevor to do well,
except for when he is playing the Lakers.

too heavy on the hoho and not enough BTF...=8-)
First you would need to have a first language other than English.
Which is why s/he has a legitimate excuse for his/her struggle with
English. Wonder what the excuse is for the native-speaking monkeys
with keyboards who post among us--?!?

Talk about knowing each other...Lakers barely ever let Trevor get to his
sweet spots, and Trevor was the one guy in the league who overplayed
Lamar's left far enough to actually force him right for real (got burned
once for a nice and one, but still).

We really got lost on assignments after that jump ball, a five man
clusterfail.

Absolutely, he's a great kid and has overcome a tough early life, I wish
him success and think he is going to be a minor star in this league for
a long time.
He looks so much more aggressive I can hardly believe its him. His
shooting touch looks improved even beyond his improved shot of last
year, though you really do have to wait an entire season to see how much
he really has improved.
I'd be surprised - scratch that - stunned if he maintains his 20 ppg
average. But if he puts up 15 ppg in his first season as a go to guy I'd
say that bodes well for the Rockets.
I think his ceiling is Eddie Jones.
I think he will avg 20/game unless T-Mac comes back with vengeance
next month.
I think he's as good as Eddie Jones already, fwiw, but that's a
reasonable range of player, the not really an all star but can be pretty
damned good guy.
Eddie Jones was a three-time all-star.
T-Mac? he will probably hurt his back again soon enough.
Agreed. T-Mac will make a short reappearance before being shelved again
indefinitely.

I expect Ariza will play in all star game(s) too, maybe even this year.
Meant to draw the distinction between perennials and those who are
often on the fringe and occasionally make it, my bad for not being clearer.

I actually don't think he's close to Eddie yet - well, maybe the way
he's playing so far this year. But Eddie did it for a number of years. I
think he was actually underrated, given his array of offensive moves and
his trademark defense.
The way he played in game five of the finals last year surpassed Eddie's
playoff resume, though. Don't think Eddie ever would have shown that
kind of balls.
Totally, I knew what you meant. I think part of me is waiting for Trevor
to come back to earth - don't know if its hope because I'm afraid of how
I'd feel if he blew up elsewhere or realism because I don't believe you
go from 8 ppg to 20 in a single season.
That was always Eddie Jones' great Achilles' heel. He was pretty
sharp as a regular season player, but he *never* delivered in crunch-
time during the playoffs. If he had, the Lakers might have a few
more championship banners today.
Ariza hasn't enjoyed the overall success that Jones did, but he's come
through in the NBA Finals. Eddie never even played in a Finals during
his career.
Part of it has to be expectations though. Ariza was a roleplayer last
year. Eddie was always an all-star level player who was counted on to
contribute. I'd be curious to see how Trevor would do as the legit
second or third guy on a contender like Eddie was with Van Exel and Shaq
(not to mention early Kobe).
