The Big Five
Kobe Bryant
Magic Johnson
Jerry West (The Logo)
Elgin Baylor
Big Game James Worthy
Almost brings a little mist to my eyes thinking of all the joy this
team has brought me and my family since forever, it seems. Win, lose,
or draw this year, I will always be a Laker fan. Maybe that's why when
somebody disses them I'm like a mother bear with her cubs. You'd be
smart not to do it while within reach. ;-)
Honorable Mention (Part of career with other teams)
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Derek Fisher
Kurt Rambis
AC Green
Rick Fox
Big Shot Robert Horry
Stormin' Norman Nixon
Byron Scott
Feel free to add your own. ;-)

Needs moar Shaq.
Yeah, he burnt his bridges, but he was a freakin monster here for
years. If he's disqualified for playing outside of L.A. too much, then
I gotta yank your chain on putting Fox and Horry in there as
well. :-)
Nice post, Mr. Mayner. Now I will kindly get off your lawn.
no shaq?
LMAO...the man won 3 championship as the MAIN-GO-TO guy...some of you are
truly ignorant
I wasn't rating the Lakers, I was talking about some long-term,
Championship Lakers. My groups were "Played Entire Career" and "Played
Most of Their Career", whatever.

I have to admit, I completely forgot about Shaquille in regards to
this list anyway. I think because he's still playing, who knows? No
matter, I should have included him on the list. Thanks for pointing it
out. You beat Alson to it. ;-)

Have fun! You got a Slip 'n Slide handy? ;-)
What? Are you holding Mikan's year with the Chicago Gears (when
the Lakers did not exist) against him?
like snake pliskin, i thought you were dead... :-)

Lakers existed...are you snubbing your Detroit Gems. :-)
Los Angeles , my seldom heard from friend. And yes, I totally forgot
Shaquille. That was stupid, I admit.
Well, in your defense, you are kind of an idiot. <smiley goes here to
show I'm kidding>
Great list, great post.
I'm a bandwagoner, moved to LA in 86. I got to see Jordan's rookie
year before moving, but then the light fell on me like Saul on the
road to Damascus -- basketball was an entirely different game here
than the one I'd been watching.
In addition to the players you mentioned, and didn't, I feel so
grateful that I got to listen to as much Chicky baby as I did. My wife
still isn't as big a fan as she was since he passed, it's too painful
for her.

Fish is the anti-Iverson.
Naw, just thawing
Although you did say Los Angeles Lakers, I choose to include the
5 titles and therefore the players.
Regardless, great post.
Um, yes.
