"Derek Fisher never gets enough credit. The guy is a star. He battles
and competes. I admire his play every year since he's been in this
league. If you want your son to be a point guard, they should look at
his tape and be committed to what he does. He plays for the team, and
that's what you expect from a point guard at that level. He's an
amazing player."

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...
lol... whew, thanx chris... :-)
oh and btw chris, even you dont agree with you... you told me personally that he sux...
must be a huge civil war going on in your brain...
There's one head coach that won't be replacing PJ. :)
Mark it down Boz. Once Scott Brooks says it, that makes it official.
Wow, good one, hater.
Since the opinion of the greatest coach in the history of the NBA
wasn't good enough for people like you, I figured maybe some would
appreciate hearing from a guy who made more than a decade long career
out of minimal talent, and moved on to the next level of his career to
coach an NBA franchise -- the kind of guy who can appreciate the
magnitude of SuperDerekFisher's achievement.
But, good point, Mr Dynasty, the opinion of a bunch of usenet nerds,
in particular a guy whose basketball claim to fame is that I won't
take him on one-on-one should carry a lot more weight than say Jerry
Sloan, Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, or any of the other guys with proven
basketball experience, who've played against/with or coached SDF.
Haha, made you double post -- I win!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!
My goodness, this is really a sore subject with you, isn't it. Well,
since it is meaningless to me, I will pour a bit more piss into your
cherrios...Fish sucks. Is he better than every single one of us
"usenet nerds"??? Of course. He would absolutely destroy any regular
guy on the streets. Does that make him a legitimate starting point
guard at this point in his career? As for Phil's opinion of
him...what choice does he have? Is he going to start Farmar? Look
for Shannon to continue to get increased minutes, as he continues to
grow into a player capable of being trusted to lead the team. Fish
starts by default.
yeah you telling me he sux really discredits me... lol...
phil jackson suffers from dimensia...
How is it sore for me?? My guy is starting in the NBA and has four
championship rings?? That is called SCOREBOARD. People who hate on his
skills are totally missing the point -- isn't it amazing that a guy
with probably the lowest talent level in all of the NBA has been able
to do what he's done?? Complaining about somebody like that makes you
a dick, oh wait, that's his excuse, what's yours? How can a guy with
your nick hate on Fish without being a hypocrite?

Sorry dude, but this is stooopid -- If Phil, or Mitch (or Kobe, eh?)
didn't think Fish was a valuable contributor to Lakers championship
they could have gotten rid of him a long time ago -- they certainly
didn't need to resign him away from Utah. Your theory leaks like a
sieve.
But go on ahead, keep telling me and others that the Lakers should get
a new PG so that the can win the championship TO THE EXTREME!!
jabari you have to understand that listening to chris is just like
listening to jim rome, they are two guys who never could picked to
even play hop scotch with the girls... their game ='s no game... so
they revel in the anti-guard's suckitude because they see their game
in everything they wanted to play in him...
a guy who sux gets to play... they are indeed "win in spite of" kinda
guys... the last picked, the last acknowledged, and those who had to
ride with them on their team dreaded the whole game...
heres to you chandler, and to guys who sucked like a motherfucker and
see their game in the anti-guard... its amazing that you dont give a
shit how sorry fucks like that ruin teams that couldve had an alltime
record if it wasnt for him...
way to keep your head up chandler... :-)
I was already done with him, but thanks for the clarification. It's
always funny to me, when these people get so worked up with the
slightest mention of reality. it almost makes me want to go back to
trolling Laker fans just for shits and giggles.
After your weak stuff got handed back to you, you should just walk
away.
> but thanks for the clarification. It's

The reality is Fish is the starting point guard on the deepest team in
the league, and he has a a fourteen year career and four rings. Now
that's "reality" to get worked up over!! The people wearing tinfoil
hats are the ones who keep shouting "I can't believe I'm losing to
this guy -- why won't anyone else who knows anything about basketball
believe me that he really sucks and shouldn't be where he is!!!"
> it almost makes me want to go back to
> trolling Laker fans just for shits and giggles.
I'm sure you were quite the master baiter, junior...
Scoreboard!
How stooopid to be bitter about an "all time record" instead of being
happy about the ring -- no wonder you have that bizarre theory of
teams winning in spite of team members at the professional level.
> way to keep your head up chandler... :-)
Awww shucks buddy, thanks for that.
if you understood the english language you might get the jist of win
in spite of, obviously you dont...
Yes, I would have had you shitting yourself out of frustration,
because you make it too easy. People that are unable to embrace the
humor of things said out of jest are always the most fun to bait.
While watching Derek, I'm sure you are quite the masturbator,
douchebag.
Who was talking about masturbating?? Oh, wait, you thought..
hahahahah, that's too good.
> Also, calling someone
> "junior", but using 3 exclamation points every other sentence is
> comical, as well.
It's a stylistic choice. Maybe not a good one, but there you go. Some
people use emoticons, but I've never cared for them.
> Dew YoU TyPe LYke DiS on your MySpace page as well?
Ahh, and now I see that you really are young -- I'm going to throw you
back now.
C-
C was for the cliche homophobic swing... I added the minus because you
added the douchebag.
Did you, or did you not tell Dennis (Boz) that Derek sucked during a
private conversation? Stop dodging that one. Did you say it?
Thanks for the grade, did acknowledge Fisher's D-grade to Dennis?
lol... of course he said it... he already owned up to that one a long
time ago... yet he still seems to forget that he said it from time to
time... im thinking phil isnt the only one with dimensia setting
in... :-)
he surely did with a mighty "YES HE SUCKS!!!"... lol...
No dodge young fella... it's just not germane to the point.
Talent-wise, Derek Fisher has always been at or near the bottom of the
league. To, uh "Dennis" that's all that matters. He honestly cannot
comprehend that there is more to the game than physical god given
skills.
And, I might mention that the conversation in question took place
before the Lakers won their first championship of this decade. As for
what exactly was said -- he's got a photographic memory for that shit,
I'm sure I said whatever he says I said.
this is chandlers subliminal, i am the anti-guard speech... i am tiger
woods...

you really are starting to purr... :-)
Thank you. Your words, not mine.
The jist of 'win in spite of' is B-O-G-U-S.
an easy mark... :-)
Thank you. Your words, not mine. :)
I'd hardly call 6 deep the deepest team in the league. After Odom
what have you ? Maybe Shannon on a good night.
yeah he looks like a clown tearing the team apart missing jumper after
jumper just so he can look clutch... its all an act, he really is more
talented than you on the court... pffffffftttt...
Compare Derek Fisher to Allen Iverson. You would take Iverson, I would
take Fish. And at the end of their careers, the only thing Iverson is
likely to have is one win against the Lakers in the Finals (that is
still bothering you!)
aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh the myopic wonder of chris chandler never ceases...
please tell me how many times im going to take a piss today too...
okay chandler, you would take shit and wipe it all over your face and
eat it, and i would stay far away from you and say look at that yucky
boy there...
lol... youre fucking insane...
One of us is insane all right -- personally I think it's the guy who
thinks of Derek Fisher as feces and Iverson as golden.
Who has a deeper team?
I really don't know - we haven't see a whole lot of teams yet.
thats the problem, you dont think...
Ummmm, ok...
Tell you what -- until you can come up with an alternative, I consider
you as agreeing with me calling the Lakers the deepest team in the
league.
(seriously?? you're willing to stereotype millions of muslims based on
nothing but your own thoughts, but aren't willing to go out on a limb
to pick a deeper team?? ...you are one strange dude...)

I will go on that limb... and make an argument that the Blazers bench is
deeper now that they added Miller.
Lakers have one that would be starting most anywhere in Odom. Most of
the rest would be bench players on most teams IMO.
Blazers bench has 2 for sure starters on most teams in Andre Miller and
JoeL and arguably Rudy would start on many teams.
Batum will be back in Jan. He started every game for them last year.
Outlaw perhaps would start for many other teams too if the argument had
been made before he broke his foot...
Fyre could not find minutes last year and given the start for the Suns
has thrived.
On the other hand to keep that 2nd unit deep and make both units the
best balance they start 2 players that would be bench most teams in
Blake and Webster to one of those, Fisher, for the lakers.
Last year lakers bench players averaged 84 MPG, 29.5 ppg and 99.7 pts
per 100 possessions
last year Blazers bench averaged 94 MPG and 35.3 ppg and 106.3 pts per
100 possessions Portland ranked 2nd on ppp, lakers 27th
Lakers bench was 2nd rank in +/- Portland 4th, but Nate often does not
have a starter on the floor, I think Jackson tends to have one star on
the floor unless it is garbage time. And that was before adding Miller
this year.
As for Fisher who I consider worse than Blake whom I consider average at
best...and the backup PGs...I support the 'in spite of' argument with
these numbers:
Lakers numbers and PER and opponents by position. 15 is average.

Last year

On the other side of the argument sometimes the best fit is not the best
individual player. Blake fits better as the starter with Roy at SG. The
3 guard lineup is officially scratched, Miller on the bench, ...boz
would argue for Miller starting I am sure. Roy wants Blakey like Kobe is
comfortable with fisher.

Now back to your regularly scheduled flame war. =)
"Superstar- A player who hears what he
doesn't want to hear, sees what he doesn't
want to see, and does what he doesn't want to do"
-Unknown
Hey man, I watch the Lakers - the rest of the teams I know little
about. In the past, the Lakers have always been like 8 deep - they
aren't right now - that's all I know. You'll have to excuse me for
not giving a shit about the rest of the league or knowing their stats.
Muslims are a lot easier to quantify - they're all ignorant believers
in superstition.
Orlando, by about 4 guys.
