oh yeah OT
Yes, it's outrageous that anyone would be allowed to have a differing
opinion and want the nomination process to be run fairly. What is he
thinking of? He should just shut up and be happy with the "half"-
votes.
The only thing that matters is that Obama is the nominee...at any
cost!!

It's this whole "she deserves it" thing that bugs me. NPR had some woman
from NOW on the other mornign and she was talking about how her whole
organization would organize for John McCain "if Hillary is denied the
nomination." What the fuck is that? Denied?

Fairly means not changing the rules 6 months later just to save
Hillary's campaign. On February 1, Hillary herself said that Florida and
Michigan broke the rules and their delegates should not be counted. Icky
himself lead the original push to strip Florida and Michigan back in
August of 2007. He was the one who originally proposed this punishment
to the Rules and Bylaws committee.
Don't insult our intelligence with bullshit about fairness. If the roles
were reversed you, Laurel, Icky and Hillary would be screaming that they
had to be punished to prevent other states from breaking the rules
future elections.

Oh the irony. The bitter, bitter irony.
"An inadequate black male" - sums it up nicely I think.
No, my hair is better. But I did like your entrance in this
video...you come in at about 1:10.
Yeah, she's pretty crazy. No doubt there are others like her but I
would imagine there are some very wacky Obama supporters too that he
wouldn't want to claim. I thought the clip was funny. No doubt, it was
easier to post that than to acknowledge that not everyone sees things
the same way when it comes to the Dem nomination process. I suppose if
Obama was my candidate of choice I might be tempted to want to rush to
judgement as long as it benefited him. But I happen to think that
Hillary is the best and most qualified candidate so I want her to have
her rights.
It's unfortunate that the Democratic party is split down the middle
about who should be the nominee. But it is and just taking cheap shots
at the other side is not going to make the divide any closer.
He shold be happy to get the "half votes" because teh rules that he
agreed to said if they broke them, then people got NO votes....but he
says its not America because some people voted for his candidate. Its
not fair not to count his vote. Yeah and its funny....Obama wasnt even
on the Michigan Ballot!!!!!! So how is that fair? They all knew before
hand the rules. So now that it pretty much benefits only ONE of them,
that one wants to change the rules....thats not fair. this is why the
country votes republican. It looks like we cant even make up our minds.
We have to talk about the same thing over and over again...it looks like
we are just talking to hear ourselves talk. We made the rules and said
what would happen if they were broken. they were broken, and now we
wanna talk about it over and over again, and then change the punishment
so we can be "fair"....Just like little league baseball now has no
score....because its not fair that someone has to lose....yech....grow
some balls...and stand by what you say. Its actually crazy Hilary is
still in a race she cant win...just because...SHE is the one splitting
the party in half...well she has less than half...thats the problem.
The people have spoken and they want Obama...plain and simple...and
thats according to the rules setup in advance....
She's had her rights and now she has more than she deserves. It was
Ickes himself who first devised the plan to strip florida and Michigan
of their delegates and as recently as Fed 4th of this year, Clinton
herself was publicly advocating that exact course of action. This whole
"count every vote" and "fairness" bullshit is the kind of crap Karl Rove
and the repubs would be pulling in the same position. If they really
cared abotu fairness, they would not have opposed a redo of the Michigan
primary with Obama's name on the ballot. They don't give a rat's ass
about "every vote" - only the votes for her.

You don't want to go there. Playing the "Florida 2000" card is frankly
dispicable.

They aren't the rules he agreed to. They are the rules he made up
himself.

It isn't. This isn't about fairness in any way, shape or form. If it
were about fairness, they would not have blocked the Michigan revote
back in April. It's not about fairness - it's about winning.

And, sadly, will again this fall.

That takes integrity and guts. The only person I've seen who has that is
the former head of the New Hampshire democratic party. I don't recall
her name. She was in the Boston Globe the other day saying that since
all parties had agreed to a certain of rules in advance, they should
stick to them now. She's a Clinton supporter BTW.

Even if Florida and Michigan delegates had been seated exactly as she
wanted them, she woudl still be behind and not have a mathematical
chance of winning. All it would accomplish would be to deny him the
chance of winning outright so she could take her divisive, win-at-all-
costs, George Bush-Karl Rove like politics to the convention.

Well, since it should have been NO votes, damn straight he should be happy.
Would awarding all those votes to Hillary have been fair to Obama?
>The only thing that matters is that Obama is the nominee...at any

Well, um, he did get the most votes...and he does have the most delegates...
