I do give collectivists credit, creating a whole fake science movement
to justify an attempt to roll back decades of human progress was
certainly inventive.

I take it your tin foil hat didn't arrive on time...in the mean time if you
have some Jiffy-Pop you can invert the used tin foil to fashion a hat...
if the siganl is very strong extra measures may be needed...

There's no way they can get away from this one. These aren't
interpretations that are being massaged and faked, instead it's the
raw data that is being faked. The very data that everybody looks at
to determine if the globe is warming.
A friend of mine is a professor of climatology. As part of his first
year course, he has a debate between the AGW "skeptics" and the
students arguing from the course material.
What this tells me is that both of you think you've debunked the
science when neither of you could pass a first year course on the
subject.
Which makes you a pair of morons.
It doesn't matter if the earth is warming this week or cooling. We
all know it goes through long cycles. We also know that man has
polluted the hell out of this planet and altered the entire ecosystem.
The sooner we start doing things that are beneficial to the planet
and mankind - the sooner we will start benefiting from it. Curtailing
the use of fossil fuels should be the number one priority for the US
and it might even keep us out of some future conflict globally.
Making companies stop polluting and being green can only help us and
buying from China promotes polluting - therefore we should be doing
things to promote US manufacturing and creativity.
Promoting alternate energy sources should be the number one priority
for BO - even ahead of the health insurance debacle. Getting us out
of places like Iraq should be right up there in priority.
I could go on ...
"Nothing in the station histories? It's all there for anyone who can
be bothered to look, or to ask politely. But Treadgold and the NZ CSC
have no excuse, because the NZ CSC were told about this information at
least two years ago, the last time they tried to make a fuss about
"adjusted data". In other words, Treadgold and whoever in the NZ CSC
helped him with the data are being more than economical with the
truth, they are lying through their teeth."
Like I said, a pair of morons, here.
And what a couple of idiots from down under say should affect me how ?
Who the fuck cares what they say/do ?
Luckily, I won't be here when that happens.
i wish i had two more hands so i could give you 4 thumbs up... :-)
does that mean im cutting edge because ive said that since theyve posted here???
:-)
We just needed more proof, since we're pro-science, and all.
Gee you sources aRE GREAT...
Try this:
Climate science from climate scientists
RealClimate is a commentary site on climate science by working climate
scientists for the interested public and journalists
Its self preservation..
isnt there a sale at walmart waiting for you???
What a tool. Anyone with a fundamental understanding of botany,
climatology and statistics can tell this is an analysis skewed by a
type of faith that elevates superstition over logic and science.
If anyone wants to read a decent rebuttal to this nonsense, look here:

Why does Gary delve into matters he has no understanding of anyway?
Political agenda maybe? But, of course! The guy didn't even have a
basic understanding of natural selection. Moreover, he doesn't
understand that a "theory" in the scientific world carries much more
weight than what the normal guy on the street considers a theory.
Global warming is no longer a hypothesis. It has been accepted as
scientific theory through substantial peer review. That's as close as
you can get to a natural law. Perhaps Gary doesn't understand this
process and prefers propaganda to make his world more secure. But
when he actually tries to come off as educated on this? Well, I have
to step in. Here we have a guy who claims that "natural selection" is
not true. Duh! As I said to this numbskull before:
"Just about all molecular, paleontological and taxonomic evidence,
taking
into account both homologous and divergent properties, has backed up
Darwin's ideas regarding natural selection. We also have phylogenetic
reconstruction technology available to us, which is really closing the
door on this chapter. If you believe otherwise, be specific. Save me
the bullshit too. Open a damn Biology textbook and get to work."
I'm still waiting.

Hey Gary,
I read your link, and now I read this link. I think you should read
this one, and let us know what you think after seeing both pieces.

I mean, it makes it hard to take you seriously when you call people
who believe in global warming "collectivists" if you're not willing
and take a stand that doesn't tow it's own party line, don't you
think??
Btw, I wouldn't dream of asking Goldberg to own up to wacky things
he's said (we've all seen how poorly he's done thanks to branden...),
but you strike me as a thinking person, and I'm hopeful you have some
integrity to go along with the intellect.
And for the record, this article describes my own position fairly
closely:

Gary, et al, do not know how to admit they've been wrong...about
anything. What Gary will probably do is give you a load of nothing and
then tell you how he's really an open minded centrist and isn't it a
nice day anyway? Hey! look over there!
Is that what you're looking for?
Well no, but nothing surprises me much anymore in these discussions.
Hardly anyone ever admits they were wrong, just misunderstood. More
than a decade in this group has shown me the infinite power of
rationalization people have, including myself btw....
and chandler will eat it up with a huge spoon...

Sam Weber: Why does what you just said strike me as a massive
rationalization?
Michael: Don't knock rationalization...I don't know anyone who could get
through the day without two or three juicy rationalizations. They're
more important than sex.
Sam Weber: Ah, come on. Nothing's more important than sex.
Michael: Oh yeah? Ever gone a week without a rationalization?

"You are, number 6"
- The New Number 2
I have to admit in the past I found value in his posts to this
newsgroup but now...there will always be a question of value.
his value as a bigotted douchebag is unquestionable!!!
Well thanks for that advice!! Actually, he does have a habit of
answering posts days later, so we'll let this question marinate a
little bit. I could start counting the days.... but no, that would be
crazy right?

I might have spent the rest of the week pondering that thought. Thanks
for saving me some time. Now if someone could just confirm he is a tea
party throwing birther than I can concentrate on other topics. Like -
how about them Lakers.
confirmed...
d.all of the above
Anything Faux News thinks is "news", so does Gary.
if he was on fire i would take the time to piss on him... but not to put out the
flame, only to quench his thirst...
It would only be crazy for the first 1000 or so. After that, it's
expository.
Gary should stick to basketball. That's when he makes valuable
contributions. His political posts are rote right-wing talking points.
You might was well get the "Talking Points Memo" e-mail from
gopteamleader.com. In fact, that is where Gar gets 99% of his
information. His posts read like a cut-&-paste from these.
He is 100% tea-bagging birther. Guaranteed.
I see...he drinks from the big cup of wacko bullshit. When you have a
closed mind you are destined to be a follower. There are many people
that haven't caught on to the meaning of "bringing in the sheep". Some
day maybe they'll figure out they brought themselves to the party.
I couldn't have possibly stated it better than Wolner does here.
