Quickly, because I�m heading out to the Warriors facility for some
wrap-up interviews soon�
I just checked with Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob, who said via email that
it�s too early to comment on whether or when the team will pick up Mark
Jackson�s fourth-year option for 2014-�15 and/or negotiate a longer-term
deal beyond that.
Before last season, Jackson signed a guaranteed three-year deal through
next season, with a team option for the fourth season. He just finished
his second season, leading the Warriors to the second round of the playoffs.
I would assume picking up the option is a fairly slam-dunk decision,
possibly as a prelude to longer-term talks down the road.
Lacob said the team �will work through these issues soon.�
