I am in a compete state of disbelief of how blind/insane/stupid you must be. It is completely beyond my realm of comprehension that you could say that Stackhouse is anywhere near Jordan. There is no player in NBA history that had the mix of supreme talent, unquenchable will to win and rabid competitiveness that Jordan did. I have been a Bulls fan for over twenty years, and I can't begin to estimate the number of times I have been left in awe by Jordan. No hype......we get occasional MJ adds for Nike etc......but we get them for most superstars....when he retired there was one article in the back of my newspaper wich was about an eighth of a page which ran for one day....that was it......and maybe one 30second report on the sports news that night.....that's it...........we know of Michael Jordan........but there is no hype over here.

No hype......we get occasional MJ adds for Nike etc......but we get them for most superstars....when he retired there was one article in the back of my newspaper wich was about an eighth of a page which ran for one day....that was it......and maybe one 30second report on the sports news that night.....that's it...........we know of Michael Jordan........but there is no hype over here.

New Zealand is exactly the same. There is maybe 2-3 Jordan ads a year (if they are still on) I have seen a couple of Kobe ads. Most of our adverts are of rugby players pushing Nike (Jeff Wilson, Ian Jones), Adidas, Reebok (Jonah Lomu) etc.
There is no hype. We have our own basketball league too that gets about equal coverage of NBA (namely none). We are, as you would say, not exposed to all the same hype that americans are. (BULLS ROOL, and KOBE DA MAN, come to mind)
