Downgrade the Celtics as long as Blount is their center.
They can't rebound.
Skeptic
resides in the West. Their second tier teams from Dallas all the way to
Utah (and Phoenix too if Amare comes back healthy) are solid and comparable
to the top tier teams of the East. These teams only go to about #6-8
depending on if you really believe NJ and Milwaukee would be included up
there.

I would agree.
I think it's an accurate statement to say "The East has gotten
better". Since now it seems like there is more equity between
the conferences. I just don't think it's time to say that the East
is *the* better conference yet. There's too much season left
to play and the best teams in the league are still yet to be
determined.

Which team is that? The Pistons won the championship in 2004 and lost
it by the slimmest of margins in 2005. There is no "far and away best
team in the NBA".

Beat me to it. The prior statement was so ludicrous, I thought it was
trolling. There are a number of teams that can contend for the title this
year, but to call any of them "far and away" the best is utter nonsense.

Standings? Nope...that distinction goes to the Pistons.
Winning streak? Nope...that belongs to Cleveland and Dallas.
Division wins? Nope...the Pistons and Clippers have the edge there.
Home wins? Nope...a number of teams are unbeaten at home so far.
It doesn't look like the Spurs are "hands down" anything, other than
just another good NBA team...and just one of many. The Spurs still
have plenty to prove this season, IMO.

Try watching them play someday. They are the most complete team in the NBA
and have the best player in the league since MJ on their team.
