Why Hitters Can't Hit
1. Their hitting plan is based on what feels natural instead of a
plan of practical functions.
2. They are pre-occupied with long-shot hitting for power.
3. They are pre-occupied with watching a pitch unfold instead of
waiting for a pitch to hit a zone.
4. They don't understand that hitting is a sum of all the moving body
parts.
5. They don't understand what body parts fit with others to maximize
function.
6. They think one good solid ball connection is translating into a
eureka of understanding.
7. They think going deep into counts will increase their chances of a
better pitch to hit.
8. They don't understand that different areas of the body need to
function separately in a swing.
9. They think by practicing hitting by a slow speed pitcher will help
their timing of a baseball swing.
10.They think that if they are hitting at a higher average, that they
don't need to build on their baseball swing theory.
Why Hitters Could Hit Better
1. They could independently test each body part, daily, as it
relates to another testable body part.
2. They could use lighter equipment to work longer at testing.
3. They could use video on player hits that had lots of balance and
power and compare against lesser hits.
4. They could use video of habitual weak hitters and compare to
those who hit for consitent power.
5. They could attempt to identify any or all body part(s) and test
what it does in each swing.
6. They could using pitching machine speeds to test bat weightings
for best results.
7. They could practice hitting only to one designated field until
they are proficient at hitting to that field.
8. They could compare video or watching their or another's body
part's significance, like a high leg kick, and see why it is, or
isn't, effective.
9. They could compare many baseball teaching theorists to how their
students might be better than others.
10. They could come to me because of being adept (through long-
testing periods) at finding all the necessary body parts and their
function in a baseball swing...:)
