Umpire Blows Fair/Foul Call In Left Field

During the October 9 Twins/Yankees Game, the left field umpire blew a
fair/foul call. He called an obvious fair ball foul, hurting the
Twins. It was so bad that the crew chief apologized at a news
conference afterwards.

Why can't such a call be reviewed via instant replay, like is done with
home run calls?

You will be glad to know that I am not normal. I have Asperger's
Disorder.
What other bad umpire calls have you observed?
I saw at least 3 bad calls go against the Giants during a Giants-
Dodgers series in August.
