Regarding #3, the end of season comments from Zimmerman make me think
he's the one that is not interested in a long term deal. It reads like
Zimm is ready to walk after his arbitration years are done.

Fair enough, but you can't fix this team by replacing one of the best
pieces.
Dukes showed a little at the end of the season, but we need some bigger
bats.
The video coordinator item was a joke. The Nats made a big deal about
firing their coaches, their trainer and their Video Coordinator.
Problem solved, right?

I can't control what you think. I do not hate the guy, I just think he
is a worse than average defensive player.
Starting pitching is good, as is 40% on base leadoff guy with speed.
Power? what's that? havn't see than in a Nat since Soriano left.
What does a video coordinator do? why is it important?

I think you just irrationally hate the guy. Lets worry about getting a
starter that can win 15 games, a true lead off guy, and a someone with
power. And a decent video coordinator.

I don't believe that "range" or fielding average are meaningful stats.
While he occasionally shows some running speed, he has very limited
range in what he can get. The standard "range" statistic does seem to
cover his problem. Perhaps his first step or two is very slow, or he
can't read the ball off the bat.

Not true. Guz has decent range. His fielding average is .971 at ss.
Just for comparison:
Ozzie Smith: .978 (A Hall of Famer due to his defensive skills)
Orlando Cabrera .978
Cal Ripken, Jr .979
Tim Foli .973 (Known for his dependable defensive skills and one of our
top minor league coaches)
Derek Jetter .975
