"Rankings are done by adding a players UZR [Ultimate Zone Rating] with
his aggregate positional adjustment so as to level the playing field
with regards to difficulty."
From 2007-2009:
The Best
5th, Ryan Zimmerman 43.7 runs above average.
4th, Omar Vizquel 45.8 runs above average.
3rd, J.J. Hardy 48.7 runs above average.
2nd, Franklin Gutierrez 51.4 runs above average.
1st, Chase Utley 54.8 runs above average.
The Worst
5th, Jason Bay -64.9 runs to average.
4th, Ken Griffey Jr. -66.9 runs to average.
3rd, Jermaine Dye -80.6 runs to average.
2nd, Brad Hawpe -101.1 runs to average.
1st, OF Adam Dunn -108.1 runs against average
He concludes by noting that "Adam Dunn is so bad in the field that he
loses roughly two wins of value by not being a DH. And that includes
factoring in the hitting penalty faced by full time DHs. His contract is
not a bad one, its just a comically bad match although there is
something poetic about seeing lineups with Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman
manning the infield corners."

Where is Guzman?

Is more for his OF play than at 1B?

But my situation is not entirely desperate. The Flatlanders are, I
have learned, edible, with a taste something like very moist smoked
salmon. It takes quite a few of them to make a meal, but they are
plentiful, and they are easy to catch. - Rudy Rucker
Actually for 2009, Guz had a better UZR than Dunn, Willingham, Dukes,
Desmond, Harris, and Gonzalez. The top 3 on the team? Zimmerman,
Morgan, and Maxwell. (PS: I understand the small sample size for some
of these guys.)

Nah, the comments after the article implied that his time at 2 OF
positions and 1b for the three years equaled out. His UZR is better at
1st than LF or RF.

Dunn seems to be competent at 1B (to my pleasant surprise). Sometimes
these computers can't manage.
Yes, he definitely improved when given the 1b job full time. He won't
win any gold gloves, but he's a serviceable 1b until he's traded to the AL.
