I think you will see some management changes this off season. Riccardi has
made too many mistakes to ignore ie: Rios for nothing, Thomas gone and still
being paid, not trading Halliday while his stock is high, poor trades, not
signing draft picks etc. Upper management knows there is no point in making
changes now that the season is toast. What will you see this upcoming off
season? Gaston will be shown the door again, Riccardi will be shown the door
and the team will get a permanant president but not necessarily in that
order.
The Jays need pitching and if Halliday is going to stay there has to be some
effort in acquiring a bonified number 2 behind him. Romero will be in there
somewhere as long as he keeps up what he is doing.
First and foremost though is to get rid of Riccardi. Let's make this the
beginning of the end for him. Let's hear from everyone who wants him gone.
Send the Blue Jays a message. I for one am tired of watching the ballgame
for 4 or 5 innings and then having to find something else to watch.
