Sportswriters mess up NL Cy Young voting, Wainwright finishes THIRD

Am surprised Petrie hasn't already posted about the NL Cy Young
results, so I'll step in:

Wainwright got the most 1st place votes. Those writers did the right
thing, but the others are idiots.

I wonder how many writers didn't want to give the first two votes to
players from the same team?

How many would have voted Wainwright higher if he had reached 20
victories?

It's really Carpenter who should be steamed.

Since the voters obviously used saber-statistical-psychedelic methods,
Carp smoked Lincecum in both SO/BB and IP/HR ratios…
