Cardinals up their offer for Holliday

The Cardinals want Matt Holliday back as their left fielder, and
according to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, they're willing to commit
about $16 million a season for the next eight years to make sure it happens.

If this offer is not enough for Boras/Holliday, let him go. Also, if
accepted it means a raise and contract extension for Albert. Which should
be a priority anyway.

They are giving to Holliday, more than Pujols get....
Holliday - $128 M / 8 years
Pujols - $100 M / 10 years

Interesting... how much Pujols will get in two years?

I completely agree, Alan.

They should blow off Holliday and sign Mark DeRosa and Jason Bay. They
could do this for less than $16M a year.

I had a funny feeling Mozeliak would blink first.
