Yes, congratulations to the White Rat! Better late than never.
Most of my favorite memories of the Cardinals are from the Whiteyball
years. 200+ stolen bases per year, marvelous defensive plays, squeeze
plays, ideal player substitutions, inside-the-park home runs, gaining
two bases on an out, taking 15+ pitches for a walk, throwing to the
correct base or cutoff man, players taking the correct positions for
throws, home runs being special because they were rare...
