Cain dodged pitching in the Philly bandbox, got to pitch in the cozy
AT&T for the last game of the homestand. Not so lucky for the guys
after him.
Cain did pitch well after the 1st inning, but when you go head to head
with Scherzer, one 3-run HR is enough to doom you.
Maybe I shouldn't say "pitched well", since he was kinda in trouble
almost every inning. 2 runners on base in innings 1-4. In the 5th
someone hit a double, so RISP in every inning he pitched. Pretty lucky
to get out with 4 zeros. He probably would not have been so lucky if
this game were in Philly. Given his home/road ERA split, this is good
for the Giants. Unfortunately not good enough for a win.
