First inning, a single to Gordon and a home run to the next batter
Giancarlo Stanton.

[1st one in the dirt, called strike and the third was right where
Stanton likes them]. He doesn't seemt to be fooling the batters, Ozuna
took him to 12 pitches before a fly to center. 2 more singles and his
pitch count is heading toward 30. Bingo! 3 straight singles load the
bases and out comes Righetti. Oh shit, 4 straight singles and Moore is
rolling out the welcome wagon. 36 pitches to get 3 outs.

The Giants do nothing in their half. Gonna be a long night for the
Giants with that 6 game tease streak a distant memory. Moore donates
another run to the Miami cause.

Moore finally serves up enough of the Denny's menu to force Bochy to
pull him. Runners on 1st and 3rd and Gearrin gets the double play to
end the 4th inning. The Giants have generated 3 hits so far. :(

With several of our starting pitchers, it almost looks as if the opposition knows what pitch is coming. But today, with the lack of movement on Moore's pitches it did not seem to matter. Something is clearly wrong with this guy.

The pitch Stanton got was down and towards the outside, so yes, it
couldn't have had much movement if he picked it up and launched it.
When he had movement, it was usually something that Posey had to go
dirt diving for.

You can tell when it's going to be a long day for a Giants pitcher.
High pitch counts early and that ever present spectre of the home run.
I'm not sure whether getting Bumgarner back is going to do any good
after seeing him get shelled like a Single A pitcher in San Jose.

Speaking of bad pitching stats, Cain I think has the worst WHIP in the
league and perhaps in the majors. That was a week or so ago; haven't
checked the stats lately.

Back to Moore...You know what is pathetic? Moore's start before the one
last night...I think it was Pittsburg: The home plate ump had a strike
zone so large it needed it's own zip code. Still, Moore managed to walk
6 batters in a little under 6 innings. How pathetic is that?

Will the Jays take Moore for Donaldson? ;-)

With his most recent disaster (at AT&T no less!), Moore has actually
passed Cain in WHIP by percentage points. I can't believe how poor
this guy's been pitching. This is the same guy we wanted to pitch the
9th inning in last year's NLDS Game 4 against the Cubs. What a
difference a year makes.

Moore 1.688 WHIP
Cain 1.683

Of course, Cain can take that honor right back today.
