What if Posey were a Brewer?

Just imagine, what kind of hitter would Posey be if he plays his home
games in Milwaukee? My god, the small stature Posey, not the kind of
hitter that would make you think tape-measuring HRs, blasted 2 mammoth
HRs in the last 2 games. The one he hit tonight even had the Brewers
fans in awe.

No wonder good hitters don't want to come to SF.

In case you missed it, you have to check it out. Be sure to turn up
the volume. It will put a smile on your face:

Cain must be scratching his head. He's had 2 bad outings in a row, but
he won both games because he got 13 runs of support. WTF? :-) He
gave up 4 runs tonight, and it could've been worse. Melky's amazing
throw and Pagan's catch saved 2 runs for Cain.

Does Zito stand a chance tomorrow in that ballpark?

Small stature? Since when is 6'1" 218 small stature? You could tell
he was about to shake out of his early season malaise when he smacked
out to centerfield at AT&T.

Cain learned how to win games despite the paucity of run support. It's
not big deal to him, he just goes ouit and pitches. Maybe Lincecum
should talk to Cain.

Uh, in the professional sports world. For example, Crawford is
6'2", 215 lb. Does Crawford look like a guy who hits tape-measuring
HRs to you? How many 2nd-deck HRs have Posey hit in his career?

Well he was hitting .353/.413/.603/1.016 in April...

I say Cain learned that from Lincecum. Early in Cain's career, he'd
have decent games but his pitch count was always too high. Often
he'd be having a good game but 115 pitches by the 6th inning. He
always tried to blow fastballs by hitters. Meanwhile, Lincecum came
along, won 2 Cy Youngs and figured out how to go deep into the 7th,
8th, and even the 9th innings. Cain seemed to have picked that up
from Lincecum, started throwing slower, not trying to K every hitter
and not relying on his fastball all the time. To me, he definitely
benefitted from having Lincecum as his teammate. Bumgarner most
likely benefitted from Cain and Lincecum too.

Who knows what's wrong with Lincecum these days, but with him being
so tiny, relying on a whacky delivery to generate velocity, the odds
have always been against him. It was amazing what he was able to
accomplish in his career already with that body. You always wonder
how long he can keep that up. It's not looking very good at the
moment.

Bumgarner benefited from a strong, smooth pitching motion that
disguised his release point to the batters. As long as his motion is,
you don't get the ball till it's coming from the first base side and
it's alright on you, It's just plain that is hard to pick up.

Lincecum is amazing with that motion of his, but as hitters become
experienced with what he throws, they are laying off a lot of the
stuff that they used to swing at. It's more serious to me that he
doesn't seem to last past four innings. That sounds like something is
wrong with his shoulder. He's too good to be that far off on his
mechanics.

I sure hope he turns it around, he's been way to good to drop off the
radar like this and end up at the back of the rotation behind a Zen
clown like Zito.
