But how can the Giants expect to advance to the playoffs (let alone win the
World Series) by losing such *Proven Veteran Major League Ballplayers* like
Winn?

No, it's not that - I just don't think they're going to go out of their
way to make room for him like they did the last two years. They'll be
looking to upgrade him too.
