The sale of the San Diego Padres was completed Monday night, reports
MLB.com. The final hurdle is approval by the current MLB owners, though
there isn't expected to be any issue.

As a Padre fan living in Visalia CA, I have had a chance to see how Tom Siedler works up close. He has been a plus for the community and going to Rawhide games is a fun family friendly experience. I even e-mailed him and he agreed to sign my Tony Gwynn baseball at the Rawhide game Sunday. I think the O'Malleys will be great for the Padres and hope we get their Class A affiliate here.
