The Rose Award goes to Freddy Sanchez of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who went two-for-four with four RBI and scored one run in a 9-3 win over the Detroit Tigers. Sanchez hit a grand slam and Adam LaRoche hit a solo shot to back up Zach Duke, who won for the fourth time in his last five decisions.

The Rose Award goes to Andy LaRoche of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who went two-for-four with three RBI and scored two runs in a 8-5 win over the New York Mets. The Pirates scored five runs in the eighth inning. The Mets had a record of 22-1 when leading after seven innings.
