yet they lose, All of a sudden they were swinging under and over the
ball. If it wasn't for Godzilla the Yanks would have lost. What the
heck happened? The Phillies were much the better team and yet the
bettors were betting on Yanks. Something didn't seem right here.

Maybe because the Yanks won 103 games in the brutal AL East?
Yanks were clearly the better team...hows that bullpen doing?

Sab-a-THEE-a turned out to be werth more than Lee
Ri-vy-ra was just a swish better than Bad Lidge
Jeter v Rollins
Tex v R/Howie
A-Rodney v P/F
etc.

Oh, indeedly, the Phillies were better---- than the Royals.

Except he went 1-1 and Lee went 2-0.

Sab was ready for the rubber match, Lee wasn't.

The Yankees just beat you 4 out of seven because they had better
pitching so to say the Phillies are the better team is just not
correct the Yankees are the better team.

The Phils starting pitching was pretty much Cliff Lee. And Charlie
Manuel's confidence in the Phils ability to comeback late in games was
misplaced because they hadn't done it against Rivera. Manuel needed
to play for early leads and do anything to not have a deficit in the
8th, which is the only way to play the Yankees.

But he had confidence in the Phils beating "any closer."

The Phils lineup is good, clearly the best in the NL, and would be
competitive even in the AL. But Howard is clearly susceptible to left
hand pitching and I think the NL teams will be more aware of that next
year.
