was foisted on us long after everyone knew the guy was long gone. Why
did Ruben and Charlie do this? Well, there must be a lot of reasons
but the last line on the ledger is that it hurt the team, added to the
WS defeat, insulted fans and non-fans alike. It should never be
forgiven or forgotten. Be anti-Phillie until Ruben and Charlie are out
of there.

Brad Lidge won us a WS. Ruben and Charlie took a team with crappy
pitching back to the WS.

GO PHILLIES!!!

No, Robert, the name of the game is 'What have you done for
me lately?' The whole world knew Lidge was gonn to lose that
game, was a child vs Special Forces (NYY). Brad Lidge is
worth nothing to the Phillies, should be released with an
expensive lesson learned.

Ryan Howard struck out 13 times during the WS and left about a gazillion
runners on base. He fucking blew it! Get rid of him, he's done nothing
for us "lately."

Lidge got us through the 2008 season and the WS; but he lost 8 games during
the 2009 while blowing 11 saves and lost a WS game. His balance is zero.
Howard got the Phills to the WS, then ran out of gas. But so did his team
mates. Howard still has a plus balance.

You could make a similar argument to dump Hamels. I'm not ready to give
up on either. Players have down seasons and come back the next.

The real question is why was Lidge allowed to pitch if he was
injured and requiring surgery?

In fairness to all, that is the question although it seems
ballplayers,
esp. pitchers, are so obsessed with themselves, so narcissistic,
so fearful of 'going away' that they'd rather play hurt than not
play.

Lidge kept saying he was fine after he came back when he knew
he wasn't. This doesn't say much for Charlie and Dubee who should
have seen something.

and so it was --- shortly after noon --- on Wednesday November 11,2009 that
"Turban Joe" posted a lucid comment.

The doctors kept looking at his knee when he complained about his elbow.
