This, to me, is horrible. It's like cutting up a Monet painting, or
an original Honus Wagner baseball card, or the Lincoln monument, and
selling the bits on the street corner.
I e-mailed them and said I wouldn't ever buy another card they make if
they do this. Nor, eventually, will my children. Perhaps you might
agree . . .
And, knowing this newsgroup, it will be interesting to see how many
folks feel exactly the opposite, as happens on any given issue.

Ummm...1918
I agree with you. Some things just shouldn't be for sale.

But that CURSE is still having an impact on you. What does Bucky Dent or
Bill Buckner have to do with management?

I tend to agree with you philosophically, and you have every right to
express your indignity and displeasure, but, ultimately, you probably
already recognize that it's their jersey and they can do anything they
want with it or to it.
It's like the non-issue of flag "desecration": If somebody buys a U.S.
flag, it belongs to him -- not to me, not to you, not to veterans,
not to the government, not to "all of us" -- and he can do whatever he
wants with it. Seems obvious to me, but it's also obvious that a lot
of people aren't yet comfortable with the free-society thing.
