No, but he injured himself in Buffalo a couple of weeks ago while in AAA
game and now he's out 4-6 months with what I think is a knee injury.
He's gone for the season. I'm sure you can find more info here or on
Google News.

a
I like Murphy but not as a first baseman, not as an Outfielder but as
a secondbaseman, I think his natural position. He would be an upgrade
without a loss from a trade, or outflow of money.

His natural position is 1B. They are trying to convert him to 2B.

It's amazing how far the Mets PR has overhyped him, and then dumped
him. He was the golden boy that can hit and now he is talk about as
an average hitter with no defensive position.

Huh? He came out of nowhere a couple of years ago when he starting
hitting in the minors. I don't think they had hyped him prior ot that at
all. And I thought he had originally been a second baseman but because
of his defense they were trying to find a spot for him to play because
of his hitting.

Well, he hit like shit. What else do you expect would happen?

At least they are not continuing to try to foist him upon us as a
1Bman or a corner outfielder.
