Murti. They spent nearly a half hour on a single subject, when would the
Yankees turn to Rivera in a close game with the Yankees in front.
Fatcessa, with all his advantages, of being able to cut off a caller mid
sentence, of having his minions supply him with all the facts he needs
while the other guy just has his cellphone, was made to look like an
absolute idiot when Fatcessa used a stat to make his argument, for which
Murti blew him away in response.
Too bad I couldn't see the Fat Man's face on TV ...

I'm surprised that you still listen to him. I found him to be
unlistenable when the Dog left. I went cold turkey, and don't miss his show
at all.

No, no ,no, you have to understand. You see, based on never having been
a GM, Mikey knows far more about that than any GM does, and therefore is
quite justified in allowing him to utter no more than 2 complete
sentences during an interview. The same with baseball managers, NFL
coaches, quarterbacks, hitters, pitchers, and any other profession that
he deems himself an expert in.
We are all just so fortunate that he is with us....he is a true legend
in his own mind, and if you dare to disagree, I'll cut you off right now.

Fat boy was knocking reporters at the Andy Pettite press conference
because they were using perfrmances of his from the 96 WS in relaton to
how he might throw in game 6.
Fat boy yelled "enough, enough, you cant compare Pettite and Pedro to
what they were
13 years ago".
Then with Sweeny, Fat boy threw out stats of Rivera throwing 40+ and 30+
pitches in consecutive games.
Sweeny asked "when was this".
Fat boy stammered and then said "you want the year". Yes, said Sweeny.
"It was 1996" replied Fat boy.

Murti was arguing against using Rivera for more than 7 outs, and Fat man
screaming that he did so very recently, more recently than 1996. Murti
demanded to know when, and he said 2004. It was the game Rivera blew
against the BoSox.
