This happened most likely because the Mets organization promotes the
use of steroids, a message sent loud and clear when Minaya re-signed
Guillermo Mota. Until bad apple organizations like the Mets are
rooted out of the game, or inspired to reform with the threat of harsh
penalties, the premature deaths of youngsters encouraged to pump
steriods into their bodies will continue.

Rubbish. There is not a shred of hard evidence indicating that the
Yankees ever knowingly signed a steroid abusing scumbag-of-a-cheat
like Guillermo Mota. Obviously, there is evidence that the Muts do,
in fact, purposefully sign steroid users to multi-year contracts.
This is why the Yankees are the class of MLB and the Muts at the
bottom of the heap. This great American pastime of baseball must be
wrested from the icy mitts of the cheaters of this world, who the
Mutropolitan organization actively support.

On the contrary, it's the Yankees who have continually disgraced the
sport with their eager pursuit of any steroid-popping sleazeball they
can get their greasy paws on. From Chuck Knoblauch to Ol' Squarehead
Jason Giambi to 'Roid Rage Rog Clemens, the Yankees have continually
demonstrated their willingness to throw tons of money at virtually any
cheating lowlife who crosses their path. That's why the Mitchell
report reads like a virtual Who's Who of former Yankees, why if they
somehow do manage to capture one of these next two games, this
latest "championship" will be every bit as tainted and phony as the
last four.
