Wow, one All-Star game win 20 years and your getting all brash. Beyond the
Phillies, the NL is a joke.

You mean the AL, that lets players hit without having to play the
field? I believe they call that the designated unfielder.

Yes, I agree - you are SICK.
Shit, if you want to be a pathetic bandwagoner you must always pick
the Yankees.

So, right away, your 4 choices are Wrong.

So that's it, NL fans are just dunce. How many games are ruined because
some moron who doesn't know how to swing a bat is forced to bat? NL sucks.

It used to be, that one needed to posses at least more than 1 tool to
play MLB. This is no longer the case...it waters down the product.
Managers no longer need to think much beyond pull the pitcher or not.
Of course, you could also tell that to CC Sabathia.

I understand pitchers have historically batted but the AL and every other
league there has evolved. I understand the tools point but pitching and
hitting are just such opposite tools, it's like asking the QB to return
kickoffs. Some may be ok with it but not many, so why risk the injury?
Regarding managers, they can still win or lose a game from where they sit
and I'd rather leave as much of the outcome of the game as possible in the
players' hands.

Two things:

1. Slippery slope. Why not just have 18 starting players on
a team -- 9 who are the best hitters and 9 who are the best
fielders?

2. Interleague. The DH is clearly the cause of the AL advantage
in interleague play. AL teams have a guy who is a very good
hitter who doesn't have to field any position. This is an
advantage in AL parks, because the NL teams have to play a
non-starting utility player as DH, and an advantage in the NL
parks because the AL teams have a better hitter to come off the
bench.

I still prefer the game the old fashioned way. You play the field,
you hit (or not hit, for some). Teams can just play another great
defensive guy (maybe a catcher) that doesn't hit his weight or has a
sub .300 OBA.......

Fuck you. You are a troll,.. GO AWAY.

Your like Roger Clemens, so brave to commit assault with a deadly weapon
when he knows he never has to face the opposition...

This is wrong. Historically NL teams do better because in NL parks their
pitchers are a waste and they lose a big bat that they depend on while
most good NL teams have an extra bat who otherwise platoons or Pitch Hits.
