Pathetic.
;-)
I agree. At least the Vikings will win a playoff game this year (I
hope).
Winning the AL Central is like winning the special Olympics.
Even when you come in first, you're still retarded.
;-)
Yeah, we're all in the same boat. All you have is the Red Wings, and
all we have are the Vikings. But at least the Red Wings have won more
championships than every other Minnesota team combined.

At least the Twins win their division, repeatedly, and EARN
the chance to give it a shot...unlike the Tigers. ;-)

Funny thing is, the Tigers have won more playoff series this decade
than the Twins.

Only one...and they turned into a comedy act when they got to
the World Series and lost to the Cardinals, the team that had the
worst season record in the playoffs that season.
Not much of an accomplishment.

You two need to get a room.
I guess getting to the World Series isn't an acomplishment then.

Not if you fold like a lawn chair once you get there.

Then the Twins winning the division shouldn't count as an
accomplishment, because they've folded like a lawn chair everytime in
the playoffs except for the 2002 ALDS. At least the Tigers were
American League Champions that year.
2006, that is.

Are you actually a Twins fan, or just Likely Story's sock puppet?

Both.
Twins will continue to be the scrappy, David vs. Goliath team because
of a small payroll (although big market, so Bud Selig, don't you
dare contract us) that will eke out occasional appearances in the
playoffs and then make quiet exits. It's a story line that will
continue until management stops being cheap (24th of 30 in payroll
among MLB teams) and invests like a major market.
AJ
And the Tigers BEAT the Yankees and Oakland (who beat Minn) that year to get
there. But yeah, no accomplishment there. you are too predictable.
Hey, I heard Punto ran home but ran by it by mistake...
Hey man, that's low. That one still hurts. ; )

Getting to the world series is a great accomplishment. Repeatedly
winning the division is an accomplishment too, even in the ALCentral.
But if winning the ALCentral is meaningless, how pathetic does a team
have to be to not win it, as the Tigers did (not)?

I think you can guess who that is addressed to, I probably should not have
posted it here, not fair to the real Twins fans like you...
I wouldn't trade 5 ALC titles over the last ten years for one
(very poor) appearance in a World Series (as a wild card)
in the same amount of time.

The truth hurts, doesn't it John?

OK, yes, the truth hurts. ;-)
Kind of like Powerturd is your puppet.
;-)
Do you even know what a Usenet sock puppet means?
Apparently you and Corey don't.
"Eternal September", indeed.
Don't worry, one day the Tigers might actually beat the twins and win
the division. But unfortunately the sun is scheduled to explode that
same year.
