The fact that their starting (and bullpen) pitching has held up so far
this season has to be a huge source of optimism for Tigers fans.
If the Tigers offense could come to life and hit the ball the way
everyone knows they can, they could be a real force to reckon with
this season.
If they keep playing at this level in the second half, they might be
able to run away with the division, because it's becoming obvious that
the Twins and White Sox are playing some very mediocre ball this
season.
Enjoy it Tigers fans, your team has earned it for you.

Yesterday's game against the Cubs saw a struggling Galarraga finally
find his stuff and protect a lead and it saw Ordonez break out of his
not hitting home run slump. A sweep of the Cubs which coincided with
a 6-0 home stand was nice, very nice indeed. The only thing bad was
Rodney giving up a homer in the 9th but he did get out of the inning
with a save.
Now they go to Houston where I expect them to have similar success
especially with Verlander getting the start tonight. I'm hoping
they've already gone through the worse slump they'll encounter this
season because the schedule really favors them in the second half of
the season at least until September.

Not kissing ass, just talking baseball...and the truth of the moment.
As usual. ;-)
Can't you even take a compliment about your favorite team without
getting your panties in a wad?
Typical.
