That was a close call with being swept in Houston, so the Oakland
series becomes important for the Tigers before they head to Minneapolis
to play the Twins in the Baggie-Dome this weekend.

That Twins series could be a tilt series in the ALC if the Tigers don't do
well in Oakland.

Should be an interesting week of baseball.

Tigers lost the first game in Oakland as the offense and Porcello were
ineffective. However the new kid with the funny name, Fu-Ti Ni, did a
nice job in relief albiet giving up a home run. Still, no too shabby
for his first time out in MLB.

Twins should worry more about KC beating them and gaining ground than
about the upcoming series with the Tigers. White Sox are right on
your tail as well. Tigers never do well in the baggie dome so if they
get 1 out of 3, I'll be happy.

Absolutely, the Twins just need to focus on one game at a time, and
try to look forward.

The Tigers also need to focus on one game at a time, but keep one eye
over their shoulder.

I'm thinking that the Tigers winning one out of three in the Baggie-Dome
sounds about right. So these current series are somewhat important for
both teams.

And the ChiSox are sneaking up again quick...they always seem to find a
way to do that.

No, actually Fu-Ti Ni looks like a good addition to the pen for
the Tigers. They probably should have left him in longer today.

Well, the Twins won 2-out-of-3 in KC, Tigers lost 2-out-of-3 in Oakland.

A nice set up for the Tigers heading to the dome this weekend, in what
should be a fun series (along with the upcoming Twins-ChiSox series),
with interesting ALC implications heading into the break.
