The Phillies (his original team) are now going after Placido to become
their everyday 3rd baseman. I'm not sure if that is something Placido
wants to do, but, regardless, the Tigers need to at least attempt to
resign him. There is no one on the current club that can fill his
spot.

He wasn't offered arbitration because of money. Detroit already gas in

Scott Sizemore is slotted in to play 2nd this season. Supposedly
Granderson and Jackson are on the trading block.

Sounds like they're rebuilding again or just dumping payroll. That
sucks. Polanco is gone. Really liked that guy. I wish him well in
his final years in Philadelphia.
