Look at John Thomson this spring! 1.00 ERA 14 K's in 18 innings. WOW!!! I
hope this continues into the regular season. Opening day is 13 days away! It
should be a good season for the Rockies but there pitching is still a
concern. I hope Kile doesn't turn out to be another "Swift".  GO ROCKIES!

Thomson will be a good one -- he's got a great mental outlook and terrific
stuff.  I also suspect Jamey Wright will break out this year.  As for Kile,
don't sweat it -- he didn't lose all his stuff over Christmas vacation.  He'll
be just fine.

A key to a really good season -- whether Mark Thompson can gain enough stamina
to be effective.  If you go back to '96, you might remember how he was
developing into a fine pitcher.  If he can get back on track, this is a quality
rotation throughout.

Jon
