Shawn, it looks like the reds agree with you.
I think they intend to play Bruce/Stubbs and one of Heisey, Francisco or
Frazier.

Any playing time given to Nix is a problem. I wouldn't have minded if they
brough Gomes back, but if that's not what they want I would rather they play
the kids than sign an expensive free agent.

If your playing for 2011 and beyond I agree. However, I would definitely
bring back Gomes, you just don't replace power numbers like that...

Jay Bruce must also prove his September flash was no fluke. If he starts
chasing those balls in the dirt with any regularity again he will play
himself into a platoon situation... Gomes insurance is very cheap....

I believe the Reds 2010 season boils down three guys next year! Homer
Bailey must become the ace he is capable of being. Scott Rolen must play
140 games and be productive. Jay Bruce must hit at least .275 and
continue to provide the pop he has shown...
