The problem with Quentin for Crawford is that Crawford becomes a free
agent at the end of 2010 whereas Quentin is under control for 3 more
years. I don't see the Sox paying up long term for Crawford. I haven't
heard much lately about the Coco Crisp rumors. My understanding
regarding Matsui is that he's waiting for the Yankees to decide
whether they will bring him or Damon back. Matsui wants to stay with
the Yanks if they'll have him back.
I've never been anykind of a Coco Crisp fan. I always smiled when he
came up to bat vs. the White Sox. He simply has never impressed me.
Matsui would be good, but I doubt that he would want to play in
Chicago - unless it was with the Cubs. Crawford, I liked. He exhibits
a lot of integrity - some power, nice speed and defense.
Personally, I have no idea where this club is headed......
Kind of the way I felt five years ago. No expectations.
