Lackey's gone to the Nation (like we need the troll to tell us) & the Halos
left go a number of pitchers like Arredondo. OK we're getting Matsui (I
can't belive the Yankees did that to him after winning the 2009 World Series
MVP), but what about pitching? Oh yeah, knowing the GM, we'll go puck some
from the minors like Matt Palmer.

I'm a little worried about the next season....

Just keep in mind the deals the Angels have made long after everyone
thought they were done. And never forget the guys they "stole" from
other teams who thought they were on the verge of a deal by swooping
in at the last minute (like Vladi and Torii).

I'm a little worried about pitching, but this team always seems to
find what they need, whether from the outside or within the
organization.

Don't worry about losing Arredondo, I think he's done. He played winter
ball against the team's wishes and now he'll be out for the year with
Tommy John surgery.

I am somewhat suprised that they didn't try to hold on to Escobar in
some fashion. He reportedly signed a minor league contract with the Mets.

Great questions repeated in the Register this morning:

Why is Seattle getting Cliff Lee? What did they have for the three -way
that the Angels didn't? Also, if there isn't a shortstop in the mix,
why wasn't the deal last summer good enough for Toronto?

Sure smells like the Angels have been black-balled by a number of teams.

They're probably going to have to include Juan Rivera for Atlanta to
take that deal.

No! Not worth it. We'll be fine.
