maybe Lackey has said something about this, but...

...my brother and I both think that when Mike came out to pull Lackey
against the Yankees and Lackey was saying "No! I can get us out of
here!" that when Lackey was walking off the mound he decided then and
there he was NOT resigning with the Angels. Turns out Mike probably
made a wrong move there, but Lackey always was a bit of a hothead
(although I will always have a soft spot in my heart for him, having
taken the mound at age 20 and won Game 7 of the WS for the Angels),
and I think - as fanciful as the idea may seem to some of you - that
it could be true.

I just hope we can give SEA a run in the AL West this coming season.

Lackey reacted that way EVERY time Scioscia took him out of a game.

He will have fun with the dim-witted quick triggered Terry Francona.
Terry leaves pitchers in too long when they are getting clobbered and
pulls them too quick when they are pitching well. He is afraid of the
pitch count demons.
