I don't see Abreu as a long term solution. I would like to see the
Angels at least run up the bid on Jason Bay and make the Red Sox pay
through the teeth to keep him. They could move Juan Rivera to RF. What
the Angels paid Vlad should attract a darn good player. As far as
Lackey to the Yanks or Red Sox, is one of those teams really going to
set their sights Lackey for a huge contract when Roy Halladay will be
available in 2010? I know the Yankees have more money than gawd, but
you have to wonder if either team will save it up for Halladay and try
to get by with what they have. The Red Sox farm system is supposedly
loaded major league ready arms. I would like to see Figgins back, but
I wouldn't pay him more than 3 years/$30 million. Juan Rivera with 2
years and only $4 million per year could also be attractive to a
smaller market team via a trade.
Can she play catcher?
