one step closer this year. The lads fought hard. I'm not even thinking
ahead yet to what we need for 2010. I'm appreciating this strange
season that got us to the ALCS.

I'm right there w/ya, Mr. Ramon. Great season, esp. considering how it
started.

I'm oddly relieved the Angels didn't score 2 off Mo in the top of the
9th to lose by 1, because the pressurized fuck-ups of Santana walking
Cano on 4 pitches (is was 4, right?) to lead off the bottom of the 8th
(after Vlad had made it a one-run game? doable!), then Howie dropped
the ball, then Kaz Knoblauched the toss to first...all that horrific
shit would've just been magnified.

Congrats to the Yankees. They finally bought their way back into the
WS.

What's needed for 2010? Better hitting, better baserunning, and if
Lackey goes, better pitching. Halladay and Ramirez would be a good
start.

For now, the one thing the Angels have in their favor is that Moreno
and the Mrs. won't be going after each other's jugular in the
courtroom during the off-season.

I agree. I'm going to enjoy that win over Boston for a long time. I'm
going to remember the entertaining baseball the Angels gave us, deep
into the postseason while 27 other teams were done. And I'm going to
enjoy rooting against the Yankee$ in the World Series!

I can't tell you how honored I am to be called "asshole" by someone
like you, Beaver. Just so you know, I also rooted for your team in the
2004 ALCS. You see, I rooted for the team that beat my team. The
reason for that is that I ALWAYS root against the Yankee$, no matter
who they play.

But I'm sure you were rooting for the Yankee$ in the 2003 World Series
after Aaron Boone's heroics defeated Red Sox Nation once again. And if
you were old enough, I'm sure you'd have been rooting for Bucky Dent
in the 1978 World Series. That you were born in 1997 would preclude
that, however.

But since you're such a great Yankee$ fan, I'll certainly be looking
forward to reading your posts on the Yankee$ newsgroup, where I'm
absolutely certain you'll be rooting for the Yankee$ to go all the
way! I'll be watching!
