Porcello drives me up the wall.. undeserving Cy Young cuz they suck the balls of Wins for pitchers too much....WAIT, i take that back - sure he had run support, but his ADJOPS Against for 2016 was only .520, compared to his 2017 .763 largesse.

Didn't he go from very lucky last year to very unlucky this year? I
would love average at this point.

Unlucky is when you can't decide what gender you want to be.

Lucky last year as far as run support, but he also benefited a bit from the defense, crappy as it was: his ERA was 3.15, compared to his FIP of 3.40. This year, his 4.59 ERA is somewhat unlucky in the same respect, but even factoring out the defense he hasn't been great (FIP of 4.30). He just hasn't been pitching as well.

And in 12 of his losses this season, the Sox have scored 2 runs or fewer.

A little worse than Sale it sounds.

Yep. All 4 of Sale's losses have come in games in which the Sox scored 2 or fewer runs. The thing is that Sale has managed to win 2 of these low-support games, whereas Porcello has not won any (last year he was 1-3). Sale has not been the losing pitcher in any game in which the Sox have scored at least 3 runs (Porcello has lost 2 of these).
