against Keuchel. He may pinch-run, if Rico Noel has already been used.

I was wondering why Keuchel was pulled after only 6 innings. It was probably because the kid was pitching on 3 days' rest for the first time.

After Houston pulled its Dallas Keuchel, Girardi did insert his Boston Ellsbury. The only thing that worked was that it wasn't team-mvp ARod making the last out. The Astros were anyway my AL team for this October, a bit above Toronto. For their courageous stand against the Steinbrenner bullies, they are now even more strongly my favourites.

Lest Matheny's Cardinals acquire the reputation of Cox's Braves as persistent October bridesmaid, I am rooting for them to win the whole damn thing. Plus they were gracious enough twice recently to let the Red Sox win against them, especially in 2004 when the curse was overcome. And they don't throw money after Ellsburys and Pandas.

but Dallas did struggle a bit in the 6th. Just glad it worked out.

bottom of the order in the 7th, but as you say, he was on short rest.
