It seems that he (Hal), was in negotiations for a Santana trade or
contract buyout with the Mets, and the Mets refused to even talk. So
Hal then proceded to purchase the Mets as he did the Red Sox
yesterday. Well it seems that the Mets refused to be bought at any
price. Hal was as fumed as fumed can be. Not really that the
Mets would not deal or sell. He was fumed that he had to buy the
entire bourough of Queens, just to get Santana.

No, it's called a typo, things that small minds focus on.

Sour grapes.

I didnt see anyone here complaining when BlowSux signed the
embarrassment called Ramirez, or paid $50 MILLION to TALK to Rice-K.
Or free agents Shilling, Oritz, Lowell, Varitek, Crisp, etc.....

Face it, Tex or anyone DONT WANT TO PLAY FOR BLOSUX, too bad. No one
will play with you.

Wrong. Double-Aces is a lunatic Yankee fan.

Schilling, Lowell, Varitek, and Crisp were all acquired by trade. Ortiz
signed for a whopping $1.25MM. Why would anyone complain?

And all the Yankee signings since 2001 have really worked wonders
while the Red Sox have won 2 titles...dumbass.

Despite their two World Series wins, the Red Sux have not managed even
the paltry task of winning two in a row, much unlike the 1996-2000
Yankees, who showed the dominance characteristic of a genuine
dynasty. Yankee fans still feast off this manifest demonstration of
superiority.

Yes, a few Yankee fans (or most actually) live in the past. While they had
a few marvellous years they are clearly over now, I don't see it change
next year. Not even a CC, an AJ and a Tex will change that. Look at the
Yankees farm, which players are ready for the big leagues? Hughes looks
promising, but he is to inconsistent, Kennedy isn't good enough, Gardner is
a nice speedy backup but can't seem to hit and I don't know if Austin
Jackson is ready yet. They need to spend millions, their own farm just
doesn't do it. Which is kinda ironic, since Trenton and Scranton aren't
that bad ;)

In English we would say: "Skank fans still derive vicarious, but
unwarranted, validation for their worthless existences by riding the
coattails of the undeserving."
