Why this is marked as abuse? It has been marked as abuse.

Hello All,

When I first joined this group I was bothered by the over the top
politics but now I think it has its charm, esp in off season.
So...y'know...OFP versus "libtards" like me, etc etc o.k. Nobody's
book contains the sealed truth, I always say...I sure don't. either

But now there is something going on that takes up about half the total
posts which shows definite symptoms of obsessive compulsive insanity
on the part of whoever is doing this. What IS the procedure for
screening out such posts?

Appreciate the help.

It depends on your newsreader.

Almost all News Readers have a utility to 'filter' the messages you see.
I use Thunderbird and it's okay. The only problem is that it doesn't
'filter out' the responses to the items/people in one's 'killfile.'

X-News is very good, I've heard, as is 'Forte.'

Just Google the problem; you'll come up with a variety of possibilities.

Wikipedia explains the issue as an overview.

Trial and error, curiousd.

i use microplanet gravity as my newsreader (it's free). it has "rules"
which allow you to mark posts as read or discard them if they come from
certain headers. mine is currently about 40 people long. :)

Forte Agent allows filters by subject (I assume particular words -
haven't tried that) or by author. But it's not free ($29

month's free of the APN newsgroup service).
