Question: why the presales on the parking lots for the Yankees/Sox
games? Are the Braves lots not enough to handle a sellout game (for
the most part) and they're trying to keep people from being
disappointed when they sell the lots out?

Or are northern fans anti-carpool people, and drive more cars to the
game?

Or do they particularly despise public transportation, and are
fearful of sitting next to some purple-haired teenage mother on the
MARTA?

D: Because they can. The Braves make revenue off of parking lot
passes. They make less percentage off of drive-up cash sales in the
lots, and they make no money off of MARTA. The hordes of unwashed
yankees (non NY specific) are pouring in from the northern arc. Drill
their asses for every penny you can.

So we can see Bobby leave yet another pitcher in the game way beyond his
effectiveness? As I type, Jurrjens is in deep shit in the 8th. and now just
allowed 3 runs. He entered the 8th. with 99 pitches thrown. What's Cox's
problem? I can't count the number of times this little scenario has gone on.
Dammit.

His problem is that his starters only lasted three innings the past
two games, leaving the bullpen to throw 12 innings in two days. And
there isn't an off day until Monday. The pen is in disarray right
now.

You also have Bennett breaking his hand (so you have to live with a
minor leaguer replacement), Carlyle getting into shape after learning
he has diabetes, and Acosta coming off of a pretty nasty flu.

Exactly. It's one thing to misuse a pen that has options. It's
completely different to misuse a pen that's wasted and where your best
option is Manny Acosta at 3/4 speed. The Braves need a real right
fielder. Even something as simple as Mark DeRosa would do. If you
improve the offense such that once in a while you can have a real lead
you can start using Acosta or James Parr (or Carlyle when he comes
back, or Jo-Jo Reyes.)

(Medlen isn't a very good relief option because he struggles with men
on base.)
