Subject: Pain in pinky finger while pressing
I'm 26 and I've just been getting back into weightlifting. I've seen
excellent gains in a fairly short period of time but lately when I
press anything of considerable weight, I get a very sharp pain in my
pinky finger that is so unbearable that I cannot complete the lift.
This all started maybe four days ago and there doesn't seem to be any
sign of it getting better. I've been just sticking to squats, chins
and pushups in the meantime(I tried dips but the same issue with the
pain in the finger occurs.) Needless to say, I really hope I can start
benching again pretty soon. I'm thinking that it might possible be a
broken blood vessel in my hand, but really I have no damn clue. If
anybody had a similar experience or has an idea of what could be going
on or any other kind of advice, it would be very appreciated.

Perhaps it's cubital tunnel syndrome.  Common with weightlifters.
