For its probably safe to say that carter/perry will get the usual first
time stage fright by getting to the final - while sully has seen and
done it many times before .
Much like most modern day F1 races have been little more than a
procession for the last 10 years - then this final can only be a yawn
worthy event - no matter how much the studio and the commentators *try*
to hype it up .
If you dont agree with that - then fine .
But lets be honest and say when was the last time you watched a carter
and/or perry match that envoked any passion or any thrills when they
played ? .
That in turn of course means that all through the final you can expect
parrot to spout the most amount of verbal drivel diarrhea it will have
ever been you misfortune to hear no matter how long you have lived on
planet earth for .

I'll agree with that.

Tonight.

Parrott is OK, it's Thorne that's the bullshit merchant.
You've obviously never heard Tony Blair speak, have you? :)
RO can make the very best look like snooker newbies. Any player sitting
opposite him is going to be a spectator during this final. I recommend that
AC brings his favorite dressing gown, slippers and an ottoman so he can
enjoy watching RO from the comfort of his seat.
OTOH, RO can also self-destruct big-time, but it ain't gonna happen anytime
soon.
JP never has anything interesting to say. Mr Dull thy name be Parrott.

IMHO it comes down to the fact - is carter capable of consistantly
knocking in 70 breaks in his first major final .
Or is he the type of player to give his opponent far too many chances .
<Is carter the type of player to give his opponent far too many chances?.>
Yes and RO only needs one chance per frame.
After RO has built up a 5 or 6 frame lead this final will quickly turn into
an exhibition match. Watch RO go for plenty of 147's. Bottom line? RO 18-2

Giving him the benefit of the doubt - I reckon he is. He's played
consistently just-about-well-enough this tournament, but he has a lot of
potential. He needs to sharpen up his safety if he's to stand a chance.
Let's not forget that Ronnie is human and not a computerised mechanical
potting machine, he's broken down in finals before now (vs. Fu last year
springs to mind).

On the basis of the semi-final, yes. Unfortunately. I'd like to see him
do well, but it does seem like a bit of a foregone conclusion. My
prediction is 18-8 to RO'S.

You should put money on it at 125-1.

18-4 would be my own guess .

the reply .
