Some may percieve this as spam, however it's simply a long awaited
momentum.

Charlie been working on the this book for some years. There been un-counted
press releases on a regular basis by many of the industry press agents.
http://www.ustrotting.com/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=24916&z=1

Charlie also had a nice article in the NY Times on Wednesday:
http://therail.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/14/a-century-old-breeding-le...

http://www.charlesleerhsen.com/

The link to the SI article (scatter over four pages on the SI website) is:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/more/05/14/dan.patch0519/index....

"We" many only wish the best of success to Charlie and hope that the
sucess brings thousands of interviews, which will allow Charlie to add his
diverse knowledge and insights into harness racing and it's audience
(whether fan or participant).

Charlie's spent more dedicated time with an interest in harness racing than
most realize?
He wrote for Hoof Beats in the 70's and was ex-communicated for his left-
wing concepts and thoughts, his career (and dedication) have blossomed as a
result.

In addition this not his first book. He's a reknown author.

A hint to the extreme possibilites was in the initial published of Simon &
Shuster was announced (triva; Carly Simon comes from that Family).

Most harness racing authors these days are printing primarily paper backs
to reduce the costs of a limited market interest.
Charlie's going for the entire WORLD!!

From the May 1979 Hoof Beats (also disperesed for FREE at that time as a
"Special Fans Issue")

from Ellen Harvey of HRC:

Last week, Charlie did a photo session with Western Graduate that he will
be using to publicize the book.? I attach the schedule of all of his
signings so far, come on out and get a book personalized and buy one to
donate to your local library while you are at it.? Starting May 20, the
book will be displayed at the front of all Borders book stores for two
weeks.?

When you do read it, please go on Amazon or Barnes and Noble and do a
review.

Very exciting times!

For anyone interested, the above link brought a 404 error. leave off the
'index.h' and it works.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/more/05/14/horseracing.survey/
worked for me.
