Too bad for it could have been prevented by keeping the MBA's OUT of
the management and keeping HORSE people managing HORSE racing

That's about the silliest, most gross oversimplification of horse racings
problems that I've ever read.
It borders on toll baiting.
Previous new...unknown.. poster probably doesn't know the back end of
a horse from his own back end! click "view profile" and you'll see he/
she often posts to a wrestling ng and a dyland ng etc. an obvious
idiot.
LOL! Or troll baiting.
Well YOU didn't talk to the SAME higher ups in the industry who I am
privy to
-------------
No; I talked to the ones that said that the ones you talked to were full of
shit.
I was wondering how much "toll" was being charged. ;-)

Could you be a little bit more specific? The term "very near future" is
quite subjective. Does this mean within 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, 10
years? What are "large meetings"? I can envision appox. 8-10 major tracks
surviving, and about the same number of minor tracks being able to continue
in years hence. Statements of doom (or any other kind) are useless without
clear definitions or details of some sort, and maybe a 'few' facts thrown
in.

The situation of this statement has been known since the late 1970's, yet
thirty years later, nothing has been done to get the MBA's out. What you're
saying here is not a new revelation that just recently popped up.
Being a bit nasty to a newcomer, aren't you? I would think newcomers to be
welcomed until proven otherwise. After all, he/she is correct in the
assessment of overslimplification.
Happy Holidays...
Tim, try to keep your holier-than-thou attitude to yourself.

Just in time for some Christmas cheer!
I have to laugh at being called an idiot by someone that 99% of the posters
here have blocked.
