Is this part of "Stepping into other worlds is where it is at when you can
do it within a limited amount of steps." ? So you need those straps eh? :)

Sorry BrendaLee, I just couldn't resist. Its that "self control" thing we
talked about. :)

Well now listen here, Michael...was that a cheap shot? <giggle> :) You see
there are extenuating circumstances. ROTFLOL.. When I was about 16 I went to
the amusement park.. I got on this wheel thing in a cage like thing. I asked
the man if I could get off if I did not like it. He said "sure thing".
Michael, I will spare you the details .. Suffice to say, he did not stop, did
not let me off-- and I know I passed go about 15 times. (YUCK). I was strapped
in and the whole thing tipped upright and I was flipped around and around and
upside down. I felt like a full fledged milkshake. And I will leave it at
that. But I have relived that experience over and over since-- so yes, there is
a certain amount of self-control that I need to work on in leaving the reigns
to others and still being comfortable. I trusted that man.. How naive? And no
matter how many times I get burned I still trust. And yet in the back of my
mind.. that little voice looms large.
"what if I want to get off?"
So, I figured forewarned is forearmed. I was just letting him know that I might
not be able to sit still and when you are upside down without a seatbelt it
could get downright ugly.
I have lots to do with my life still.... is all..
Like I said......

I know you are.. (hmmm.)Upon rereading it I realize that it goes counter to what
I would like it to be. Hmmm. Back to the drawing board. :)
Perhaps this time. I just love being a human.. We screw up and we almost always
get a second chance to do it right. :):)
Thanks for bringing this to my attention Michael.. <I *owe* you one..><giggle>
Now... where would ya like it?

Page 32 (the last page of Chapter 1) from his book "Risking". Hmmm, does
fit this thread, no? :)

You are very correct! And I *do* know better, just it is easier said than done.
I used to be a very fearful person. I don't look back much. Not that I am
afraid of my past but that it is getting farther and farther away from who I am
becoming.
Interesting how things will remind us.. :)
Guess I will have to live forever.. It just might take me that long to get it
right. <smile>
